Hawthorne Bridge
Home to 12 bridges, most of which cross the Willamette River, the city has
amazing architecture and many great views. The Hawthorne Bridge, seen here with
the spectacular Portland skyline, is the oldest vertical lifting bridge in the
whole United States. Built in 1910, the bridge connects both sides of Portland,
